I painted this for a Contest that I will be submitting it in June. The Theme is Time Machine. I really added quite a bit more just recently and there is a lot of mica powders etc and iridescent paints in this painting... wish that would photograph correctly! We are our memories, our choices, our experiences.
I painted this just for that contest and will also submit my painting Through the Gate and bubble of time, which is already here.
This is a painting of myself when younger 30-40 and some of my life experiences from a young child to old age, then on to Rebirth. See my painting and poem, Butterfly Birthday.
This was done of course with pencil to set it in then acrylics and Arteza brush pens for highlights and finer detail. I added faces under my writing to represent the many people we have as friends, family and just acquaintences in a lifetime. I see myself bright...

If I were to create a phrase for my work it would be, "Late 20th and Early 21st Century Mixed Media Impressionistic painter and poet telling stories with art." I first began mixing media when I was very young and everything began as a sketch in pencils then added watercolor, then oil, then acrylics in different forms. I love all the different mica powders and iridescent paint That are available. today to use in our paintings.
