Description
Two Friends... Lifes Journey/2001. This piece is actually of a best friend's daughter and her friend a gift for graduation!. When we are so young the world is our oyster and we have so many wonderful ambitions, hopes, and dreams. Sometimes they become reality and sometimes they do not. The love we seek in a mate may in the end break our hearts but the loving friendships we make along life's way from kindred spirits we meet uplift our spirits and provide the wind beneath our wings! This poem became a truth of life... we all have our journey... we pick it. Each moment of each day is made of choices and those choices make us into the people we become for good or not so good! Each day starts anew and we can change what we do not like for the better!
I am blessed to say I have a few special friends who are kindred spirits on this journey of life. One of them I have been especially blessed to meet here online through Fine Art America. She touches many lives with her special contest and kind loving comments to other artists! She always finds time to uplift other artists and even her contests have shined the light on others! She has the kindest heart and always an encouraging word for others. I am sure many of us love her because she is a very giving kind spirit filled with love in her paintings and her comments so graciously given. I feel blessed to know so many of you through your art but my friend Laurel is a beacon of light in her comments and her contests! Contests that often honor another artist just when they need a bit of her amazing brightness in their lives. So many of you know and love Laurel also. She always has a lovely comment and lets her light shine through her beautiful art also! No matter what she may be going through she is selfless! She is a true friend to all and is one of the best watercolor and pencil artists I have seen, with her amazing florals that show the beauty and splendor of creation and the amazing birds and my favorite: tea time! It is wonderful to have such a lovely friend here on Fine Art America! Thank you Laurel for all you do! Valentines is for all kinds of expressions of love and I want to thank you for the special love you give to other artists! You are an amazing woman and I love you, my friend!
