I have been privileged to have parents that loved to Explore and took their children camping, One of my fondest and most dynamic memories was driving up Mt. Whitney in the Sierra Nevada range of Mountains and backpacking as a family to the top and camping... it was like being able to see forever! I remember sleeping under the stars so many different places in my life but never anywhere that the moon seemed right there on top of us almost as if it was alive and moving toward us and would engulf us. All my life my parents had such great respect for the land and the people that came before us. They taught us such great respect for the Indian peoples that had inhabited this land first. What their memories must have been and the way they honored and respected nature and the earth given by the Great Spirit!
This is what I am trying to convey here. Let's keep our earth habitable and respect and cherish it. This is 2 paintings combined into one with mainly acrylics and a touch of digital refinement to make the photograph of the painting look correct.. It is more sparkling in the original as I used acrylic gold paint to inhance it and powered glasses to give a reflective quality that gets lost in the photographing of the original.
