Description
This was done in many layers of paint and then the harbor, jetty, and lights added. The ghostly moon reflects it's presence and the presence of the Spirit Ship. besides acrylic, there is editing in photoshop as the spirit ship was added later. Lots of spattering for effect were created in the original painting. Sometimes I love to create a detailed and many-layered background before adding the subject matter of my painting. Actually, in this case, I did not know what I wanted to paint so I let the layered background of acrylic inspire me as to what the painting should be. It reminds me of the great lakes and storms and they’re so large as bodies of water make up their own harbors!
