Bonnie Marie Choose Life from original acrylic on Canvas. The first version of Chose Love. Inspired by days playing with friends & family till dark at the beach. Sunset is my favorite time at the ocean. I made this timeless as the woman in the blue dress could be anytime in the last few hundred years. This beach is in Del Mar, California.
When I get creative I wax poetic also. I got to thinking about the day is like life in it's totality. The earliest dawn is birth, the long day our lives, the Sunset our older years and the very deepest dark of night our death. But the good news is there is a morning and a resurrection or rebirthing coming! That is why the title Choose Life. Here is the Poem I wrote to go with it. Love is Life! I have a photograph I took for inspiration and morphed it in Photoshop at first and uploaded it long before this one. This is a painting from the Morphed photo-painting I first did.

Choose Love... Not Lies!
How fragile beats the human heart, that lies beneath such tender breast.
The child within screams out in pain, with tortures from another day.

With broken trusts the heart is scared, until in fear... love is barred.
The very thing desired the most, becomes the prisoner... and the guard!

Love and dreams, once freely shared, are locked away to shield from pain.
Though love is want to give away, with broken dreams the heart is stayed.

Until the love desired the most, becomes the enemy… Tortured and torturer agree!
Oh, God! Give back the child like faith, that lets again love impart.

In spite of pleasure mixed with pain... so beats the fate of human heart.
Weigh the options carefully… Love must win... if hope's to be.

Or, sad and lonely the heart will cry… until hope dies... causing the child's demise!
The hope of youth must dare be freed and given God's speed to gain loves' prize.

The heart that loves is thus so wise. The foe would stay, with fears and lies.
