Title
A Rain Storm of Love
Artist
Bonnie Marie
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas/ Iridescent Paints
Description
I was at Horizon and Horizon Ridge Pkwy. in Henderson looking down upon the Vegas Valley below as the storm raged and the sun was setting. I was driving so I could not stop and photograph the scene but it was emblazoned on my brain and I painted it the next day while at the gallery. The wild thing was someone came in and said he and his wife had seen it also from about the same place! So I guess it really was emblazoned on my mind's eye! I saw it Friday the 22nd of January 2021 and set it basically in the next day which was a Saturday and left it at the gallery to finish painting it on 1/30/2021
Hope you enjoy viewing as much as I did painting it... it was a mighty sight to see.
What do you see? Yes the cross in lightning but God's face is on the right in the clouds and Mary and baby Jesus in her arms are on the left the lightning of the cross connects them... like a bridge! There is also a heart over to the far right in the clouds brightly colored over God's mind... it represents His unending Love for mankind! I added this as is the artist's license!
This was done in acrylic paints and iridescent paints and some powdered glass to make the lightening in the sky just glisten! Wish you could see the original I just bought and 18 inch ring light and I’m hoping that it will capture the iridescence really hard to capture that in a photograph!
